Terms of Use

1. The agreement

By installing or using AssetVault (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

The App is published by CRL Digital ("we," "us"). For App Store / Apple-distributed installs, the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms. For Google Play installs, Google Play's terms apply.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the platform-specific terms above.

Third-party open data and other third-party materials remain governed by their stated licenses. This App license does not add restrictions to those materials.

3. Your data

Your core saved inventory — items, photos, serial numbers, values, and documents — is stored locally on your device and is not synchronized to an AssetVault inventory cloud. Optional catalog, AI, photo, pricing, barcode, diagnostics, and purchase-verification services process selected information as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping usable backups.

JSON and encrypted .avbk backups restore metadata but do not contain photo binaries. Full Export ZIP is an unencrypted portability archive with CSV, JSON, and media files the app can read. AssetVault can inspect and restore the ZIP directly, shows a summary, and requires confirmation before replacing the current vault. Verified archived media is reattached to restored records; unavailable media is reported.

4. Subscriptions and one-time purchases

Pro — one-time purchase ($19.99 USD)

Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Once unlocked it stays unlocked on your account, including reinstalls and new devices that share the same Apple ID / Google account. There is no recurring charge. Pricing in non-USD territories is set by Apple or Google's local-currency tier and may vary slightly from a direct conversion.

Collector+ — auto-renewing subscription ($9.99 USD / month or $99.99 USD / year)

Price: $9.99 USD per month or $99.99 USD per year (price in your local currency may vary; the exact charge is shown on the App Store / Play Store purchase confirmation).

Trial and auto-renewal: where a 7-day free trial is shown by your storefront and you are eligible, it converts to the selected paid plan unless you cancel within the deadline shown by Apple or Google. Collector+ then renews automatically until canceled. The storefront's purchase confirmation shows the exact price, trial eligibility, billing date, renewal terms, and cancellation deadline that govern your transaction.

How to manage and cancel:

If you cancel Collector+, you keep read access to anything you previously created with Collector+ features (AI Pre-Grade history, Condition Timeline). Only new-creation of those entries is gated until you resubscribe.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple or Google and applicable law.

Pricing

Displayed prices and availability may change. Apple or Google controls local currency, taxes, storefront notices, and any consent required for a subscription price change. A completed Pro one-time purchase remains non-recurring, subject to the platform account and purchase terms.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We don't have direct refund authority over App Store / Play Store transactions.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI features (photo identification, AI Pre-Grade, value estimation) are provided as a convenience and are not authoritative. Real grading should be done by an authorized grading service. Real appraisal should be done by a qualified appraiser. Live pricing is active-listing context and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

PDF reports and exports are user-prepared documentation. They are not appraisals, insurance policies, coverage determinations, proof that an insurer will accept a value, or guarantees that a claim will be approved. Confirm documentation and valuation requirements with your insurer or other qualified professional.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CRL Digital is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, to attempt to bypass security mechanisms, or to reverse-engineer the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the App release notes.
